Super Snow Moon

Supermoon February 2019, also known as the Super Snow Moon, is the largest full moon of the year. This is due to the moon being at or near perigee, point at which it is closest to Earth. Perigee occurs at 356,500 km (221,500 miles) as oppose to apogee (farthest point) at 406,700 km (252,700 miles). Note that the previous supermoon was the Super Blood Wolf Moon (lunar eclipse) in January. It was slightly farther, but still qualified as a supermoon.
