At the southern tip of Jamestown, Rhode Island, we explore Beavertail State Park surrounded by Narragansett Bay. The state park, established in 1980, is 153 acres located on Conanicut Island. It is home to Beavertail Lighthouse (shown above at tip). Built in 1856 and standing at 20 m (64 ft), it is the premier lighthouse of Rhode Island serving as the entrance of Narragansett Bay.
